...Oh, hello, Blog. How the title remains so appropriate! Mar 25, 2013, it is snowing. My daughter is at daycare--she's 7.5 months. My how time flies! I'm studying for Step 2 of Boards. And I got inspired to open up the blog world again. It might be easier to document and share the growth of our daughter and the continuing challenges we as a family take on. Yep, Look both Ways and then Jump. Well, dusting off the cobwebs of studying and posting and sharing....
I see the last entry was about the camaraderie second year students. Wow, hard to believe that all of my friends have matched into their residencies and are going on with their careers. I'm in a holding pattern. I don't regret it at all---it is just the timing of life. I do regret not being able to be fully 100% present for my daughter and for "mommy-hood." At least she's an abundantly happy child. I could not be any luckier in that aspect of life. So, I'll take it.
Let's see if Blogger has made posting pics any easier...hmmm, I don't see how to put pics in. Also, forgive me if this gets sent to people. I'm not sure what the settings are still set to...Oh look, it [the picture] is there! Yep, that's what consumes my days now. I'm a med student-milk-pumping-working-mom. Gotta drink enough fluids to get enough milk to feed my daughter---at least 3x a day at 30min a pop. Making sure I eat and drink enough so I can pump enough for her is a full-time obsession. Formula is so much easier, but I just can't bring myself to give her formula after 7 months of breastfeeding. We've made it this far...what's another few months to give her the Best? And studying? Damn, remember when ALL I had to do was study?
