Just letting folks know that we are safe and fine. Of course the Canadian Embassy sent Chris a warning SMS (aka: text) message informing him of the situation here. While things seem a bit more tense than they did in November, we do not feel that we are in any kind of danger right now. We are taking necessary precautions.
I kinda want to see a tank in the streets of Bangkok! (Chris is shaking his head...) Our neighborhood is calm now. It is Songkran and the streets are deserted. It was actually kinda nice and quiet today when we were out. Eerie, even.
We'll keep folks informed if things escalate. Don't worry! Chris's company is on top of things----he says they have a hairtrigger when it comes to those things!
